Beneficiaries of EQUAL-ARK are vulenrable youths who tend to have low self-esteem and confidence levels and have a hard time communicating with others. They include juvenile offenders, youth with disabilities, and youth with mental health issues. As such, we feel that their education and employment opportunities will be affected such that they will find it hard to remain engaged in the community.
We believe that we can help the vulnerable youths improve their resilience and social inclusion through EQUAL-ARK’s programs. However, due to a very lean manpower & horse power resources, EQUAL-ARK is currently facing challenges in increasing their organization's effectiveness. At present time, they are very operational and do not have much insights into how to improve their planning, or strategy. We believe that with our help, EQUAL-ARK’s operational efficiency can be enhanced, which in turn can improve the lives of these vulnerable youths.
Similarly, we plan to create a workshop that will be conducted by these vulnerable youths themselves with the objective of engaging these youths and create a platform for these youths to improve on their social skills.
