I'm interested in this project as helping out vulnerable youths is something I have always wanted to try out, but never really got the opportunity to do so up till now. These youths generally face problems integrating into our society due to their disabilities, but I believe that an organisation such as EQUAL-ARK can help these youths integrate into our society better by boosting their self-confidence. Other than reaching out to the youths directly, I hope that we can also help the organisation improve how it operates, so that it becomes even more effective in helping the youths. I look forward to working with EQUAL-ARK!

During my Junior College years, i did a Community Involvement Programme (CIP) that involves an organisation which ises equine therapy to help youths and kids with motor issuessuch as Cerebral Palsy. As such, I am able to relate on how equine therapy could benefit these youths in their physique and emotional conditions. After every therapy session, I could see smiles and gratefulness on the youth's faces and that warms my heart.
When I came across this project involving EQUAL-ARK, I joined immediately. The mission of Equal-Ark is very meaningful; to aid vulnerable youths to remain engaged in the community through equine treatment. I hope that through this project, I can aid EQUAL-ARK in their wonderful cause and learn on how to better design a solution

My passion in serving the community has constantly drive to me to be part of activities and projects that can enhance and bless the lives of others in every possible areas.

In collaborating with EQUAL-ARK, this project will grant me the great opportunity to work together with the team in equipping these vulnerable youths to arise and advance in becoming future leaders who can bring about an impactful difference to the society.

Hello! I am Shruthi Shangar, an Information Systems Technology and Design student at SUTD. During an Overseas Humanitarian Trip, I realised how different the lives of children and teens are around the world and how things we take for granted are privileges to them. I have always felt that the future is in the hands of the youth and the right guidance for us shapes the world. So this particular project is something that I strongly connect to on an emotional level and I feel strongly about the goals we have set. Using technology to bring about a positive change in society is what I have always believed, and we will be able to do that in this project.
